Setting up VLANs on 10G NIC in Exadata

I am trying to setup a VLAN on the 10G NIC in an Exadata 2-2 but it seems like the VLAN information is not getting picked up when I bring up the interface.  There is no VLAN  information in /proc/net/vlan/config.  I can ping and even ssh to other nodes on the network, but I cannot ping or ssh to the Exadata DB nodes from other nodes.  I also noticed that there is not an /sbin/vconfig command on the Exadata.  Is it supported to do VLANs on an Exadata and if so, is there a document someone can point me to
