Which database edition for EM?

Greetings,
I'd like to install and evaluate EM 12c but after having a look at the certifications for this product, it shows all the versions of RDBMS which will work (which I knew anyway), but nothing relating to which edition. I'd like to run it with XE if possible as this is quick and easy, but I can't find anything to say whether this will be possible or not.

There are some hits from 2007 saying it won't work on XE, but there must be more up to date info than this? I strongly suspect that EM relies on enterprise edition features one way or another, but I can't find anything to confirm or deny it.
