Project Billing - Salaried Overtime
How do you handle the following?
Salaried employees are NOT paid overtime. However, overtime worked is charged to the customer.
Cost of the salaried employee is the salary diviided by 2080 hours per year.
Example: Salary = $50000
Hourly Cost = 50000/2080 = 24.00 per hour
Salaried employee works 50 hours and wants to charge the customer for all 50 hours. The fifiy hours is entered in OTL and charged to the project.
The employee's true cost is only 40 x 24.00 = or $960.00 but in this case the cost will be 50 x 24 or $1200 per hour.
How do we handle this?
Thanks,
Tony
