How do you map contact province to lead province

Since MOD combines the States and Provinces together (Whereas OnDemand keeps them separate) into one drop down field, how do I map this field to the lead province?  I don't see it as an option in the mapping area and I don't see it when doing derived attirbute rules.  It's as if the field doesn't exist. 

We did separate it on our forms (If US, show state/province, if anything else, show Insight - province field.
