functionality to split ATO buy item in 11.5.10.2 version

Please see note 1227678.1 and Bug 4737139. This has been fixed in Release12, but we need in 11.5.10.2. We would like to know any body customized this functionality in 11.5.10.2 . Having to partial ship the line and then change the address is too time consuming. Sometimes we have a line quantity of 100 that is shipped to 100 different addresses.
