windows 2008 R2 64 bit and oracle client lib32
Question:If we use 64 bit windows 2008 r2 machine, do we need to explicitly set the environment variables for Oracle_home\lib32 directory ?
Answer:
Siebel supports only 32 bit libraries.
If you have installed Oracle client 32 bit, all the rest is done automatically.
If you have installed Oracle 64 bit client, then it comes with 32 bit and 64 bit libraries. So you will see both folders: - Oracle_Home\lib32 and Oracle_home\lib
lib32 folder is for 32 bit libraries and lib folder is for 64 bit libraries. In this case, Oracle_home and path should be using lib32 folder
