Question about article: ID: 1309855.1 How to upgrade the JDK used by Oracle Weblogic Server to a Di

The Weblogic server is on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  Per instructions, we need to set the java home  in certain weblogic configuration files with the new path of the upgraded JAVA.

So, instead of specifying a jdk specifc version folder (c:\java\jdk_1.6.31) can we use an WINDOWS j"ava home" environmental variable in it's place.  I couldn't find any examples to support that.  But, I'm fairly certain I am not the first person to be asking about this.  It would make future java upgrades in multiple domain environments so much more effecient.

Thank you,

Lucie
