Remit to Addresses set-up purpose

Hi

We are in 11.5.10.2

While doing set-up for new OU in receivable we are doing set-up as set-up>Print>remit to addresses we are passing Companys name and address and receipt form--country as Default value.

I want to know the purpose of the set-up.

Is it mandatary to do the  set-up?
