Session Variable previous month

Hi,
Is it possible to filter a report on the previous month?

I found formulas regarding the previous quarter  (valueof(nq_session.last_qtr))  of previous year (valueof(nq_session.last_year)) but nothing for the previous month?

Any help would be appreciated
