Rounding and Completions

We have an issue that seems like it should have an easy answer. I will try to explain it clearly.

We manufacture products that are wrapped on skids. Some are 1 to a skid.....or 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 to a skid, depending on the item. The problem occurs when production does a partial run, which occurs frequently.

If the skid item is set to NOT ROUND in item master and production does a partial run, the end result will be that we relieve a partial skid. Not good.

If the skid item is set to ROUND the parts list will be correct (1 skid) but each item will be completed seperately using DSI (items are serialized). The system will round the skid item to 1 on every seperate completion, so if you do a partial run of 6, when you are done the parts list will show an Order Quantity of 1 and an Issued Quantity of 6. Also not good, worse.

Howdy, Stranger!
