How to update the event class settings on Purchase order

We want to setup a recovery rule based on account settings see ote 1109436.1

We need to set the set the enforce tax from account on the the event class purchase order but by default this setting is disabled.

How can we enable default tax options because the checkboxes cannot be updated.?

For Payables invoices by default all checkboxes are enabled and we can disable them.
