Oracle ODBC/OCE connection problem

edited Apr 6, 2012 4:22AM in Hyperion Financial Reporting Products (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered
We use Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio version 11.1.1.2 installed on Windows XP.  We are upgrading our company's PCs to Windows7.  On the PCs that have Windows7 we can no longer connect to our Oracle 9i databases using the existing ODBC and Hyperion OCE.  We tried installing a new Oracle client (64-bit) on the Windows7 PC, and successfully created a new ODBC.  When we attempted to create a Hyperion OCE connection using this new ODBC, we received several errors:

"SQL*Net not loaded successfully"

"SQL API:[SQLConnectW]. SQL RETURN: [-1], SQL STATE: [IM014], SQL NATIVE ERROR: [0]. SQL MESSAGE [(Microsoft)][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application.]

Howdy, Stranger!
