Dear all,

This is informational rather than a question and it may be better placed somewhere else or passed on somewhere else.

Yesterday we created a new db on a new Linux server using the dbca (11.2.0.3)

Although the db appeared to be created and was apparently open we could do nothing with it and consistently had error ORA 0845, indicating that MEMORY TARGET wasn't supported on this system and that /dev/shm was set too low. We knew it was set correctly but we tried allocating less memory to Oracle to no avail and rec-creating. We did this several times. We kept getting the same error.

Howdy, Stranger!
