asmcmd cp command help

Part of transportable tablespace I am using 11gR2 asmcmd "cp" command to copy files from my local filesystem to ASM diskgroup as follows:

cp '/misc/tts/TEST_DATA_450' '+TEST_DG1/TEST1/DATAFILE/TEST_DATA_450'

When I check the status of the copied file it shows that the alias is created under the destination folder "+TEST_DG1/TEST1/DATAFILE"  and the actual datafile with OMF name copied to  "+TEST_DG1/ASM/DATAFILE/" directory path. Not sure how oracle decides this path "+TEST_DG1/ASM/DATAFILE/".

ASMCMD> ls -ltr

Type      Redund  Striped  Time             Sys  Name
DATAFILE  UNPROT  COARSE   MAR 28 16:00:00  Y    APPS_UNDOTS2.278.779122241
