Cannot DeleteErrored transactions from Pending Transactions screen

We are on 12.1.3 and we have some transactions in the pending material  transactions screen that have the status ERROR.

The Delete option to get rid of these records is disabled .The only way we can delete them is via data fix to close the period.Would you know why we canot delete transactions in status ERROR from the pending material  transactions screen ?

The delete optin is available in other pending screens like pending resource transactions or pending move transactions.
