Internal Asset Rental/Leasing
My client is looking into the products Oracle EAM and Asset Tracking. Their requirement is to be able to handle rental/leasing of assets for internal organizations/subsidairies. (It would be ok to do calculation of prices in Excel and simple use a price list in EBS.)
Capital cost of interest and depreciation should be charged to asset owning organization and handled in FA. Also the maintenance costs should go to same organization in EAM. However, when an asset is "internally rented/leased" to another organization the costs of rental/leasing should be charged to this new 'currently assigned organization (or location)'. Also, revenues of rental/leasing should be accrued to the asset owning organization.
