Trouble shooting ORA- 1555 error , Help me

Linux As4

If a sql statement throws ORA-1555, it that SQL completed its execution ?

I know only SQL_ID, how to find corresponding SID for it ?
How to know which execution plan it is followed. how to get rid of these error?

Please suggest me, some guidelines to trouble shoot ORA-1555 errors. We are receiving atleast 10 times this errors in our business hours. 

Our DB Size = 1 TB
Undo Size = 40 Gb on each instance of RAC ( 2 nodes)

Please help me out to trouble shoot this ones.
