Incomplete an invoice and add freight charges to it in the Freight tab

We are on 11.5.10.2 extended support patches applied.

Once an invoice has been created from autoinvoice I would like to incomplete it and add freight charges to it. When I do this I get the error message saying I can't the record.

Has anyone been able to do this and how would you be able to do it?
