carriage return line feed in table conversions

Good afternoon,

I have created a new TC with multiple record formats.  When processing the job, it creates a flat file that when opened in notepad doesn't appear formatted properly, but when opened in word pad it is formatted correctly.  I asked around and was pointed to oracle docs that say to use word pad to open flat files from the AS/400 in a windows environment.  I shared this info with my business analyst who was inquirying why this difference existed.  She is not happy with the information I showed her.  She keeps coming back saying the Payroll ACH, 1099s and W2s all show
