Preparing Disks for an Oracle Automatic Storage Management Instance

 Dear Guy
Do you see the Oracle book that the code is E24186-03?  I would like to discuss about the topic in the book named
"Preparing Disks for an Oracle Automatic Storage Management Instance". 
My environment, I use window server 2003 R2 for being OS(32-bit).

My questions are

1. Why is this manual use dos commands for doing disk partition like diskpart?
2. Is it different between diskpart dos commands and diskpart gui window?
3. Could you please tell me the detail steps of preparing disk?
   In my team,when we would like to install os,we prepare a disk by using diskpart gui window.
