Single BG Vs Multiple BG's
I am presently working in a HR Team implementing Oracle ERP (HR and Finance) Modules. The solution has been proposed to the client with Multiple BG options since they have different organisations operating under different T&C's and Policies. But as per my understanding the Business group is driven by the legislation. This Implementation is going to have 6-7 BG's within UK legislation.
Also this multiple BG's solution is driven by Financial Module which points to Universal Chart of Accounts and some security Issues. Also they want to seperate the reporting entities hence multiple BG's. Issues like one employee in one organisation moving/transferring into another organisations and still the data is visible under both the organisations. I'm really not convinced of this solution proposal. Could someone clarify me this concept.
