Proxy server for ASR

Hi,

We are planning to implement the ASR in our environment.We would like to know all the prerequisite for this.

My question is, as a prerequisite for ASR ,do we need to setup a proxy server on different host to communicate ASR manager with oracle support?

Or proxy server can be setup on same host where ASR manager resides? Please share your thoughts on this.
