How to protect an order of any addition of lines?

Dear all,

As far I know, we can protect an existing line of any modification by activitating of processing option (a next status beyond which  a detail line cannot be changed)  but how to protect an order of any addition lines ?

If you schedule daily batch job (like picking slip), you can split an order into two parts (two pick slip number for instance) inadvertently.

Any idea or workaround ?
