How to unlock accounts without using WLS admin console

What is the best or optimal or any way to unlock a user account if one cannot use WLS admin console?

We have an application (Agile PLM) that (out of the box) uses the default security realm to lock out accounts that enter bad credentials five times in five minutes for 30 minutes.

This is not the problem.

The problem is that while the application provides a way to reset passwords, change user attributes, it does NOT provide a way ....

  • For app admins or service desk people to see that the account is locked.
  • For app admins or service desk people to change this status.
