Boot hangs with no message on X4270 M2 / OL6.2

Hello, sorry if this isn't the right community but I think this may be a cross-community problem so I'm trying here first..

We have a Sun Fire X4270 M2 on which we installed Oracle Linux 6.2 for a RAC cluster (we have a brother machine).

Everything went fine (we updated, installed UEK, installed Clusterware, RAC, etc) rebooting the server a few times with no problems.

After a few days of uptime, we added a single user mode in the grub configuration and rebooted. We took this chance also to change the serial port speed for the ILOM SOL.

Since then the boot process hangs at some point with no error mesages nor output. It just leaves a blinking cursor.

Howdy, Stranger!
