Is ASCP required to implement VMI with iSupplier portal

Hi Experts -  We are planning to implement VMI feature with iSupplier portal in R12.1.3.We currently do not have ASCP, we use multi-org MRP.

Is ASCP required to use VMI feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
