Redundancy of Disks in Exadata DB servers

hi,

in exadata DB server (X2-2 half rack) disk redundancy has been maintain in the 4 disks using 1 hot space and 3 disk with RAID 5 (2+1).

is there any other redundancy other than this?

any involvement of ASM for those mount point in Linux OS
