Performance Issue with all serial transactions

Hi,

We have serious performance issue in transactions using serials.

Can anyone suggest for improving performance with serial transactions ?

One suggestion is to create partition on MTL_SERIAL_NUMBERS table on the basis of high transaction item.

Any suggestion will it work ?
