sqlnet info in alert log

In oracle 11g, all the sqlnet log info are now written to alert log. Sometimes it's a little bit annoying. I read that set the parameter diag_adr_enabled_listener = off can make those message to write to sqlnet log again. I did that, but it didn't seem to work. Not sure what I am doing wrong here. Version is 11.2.0.2 on solaris 10. Please advice. Thank you very much.
