Email address values to hyperlinks to launch into new Email

Hi,

Is it possble to turn Email Address Values into Hyperlinks that will Launch into a New Email in the default email program (outlook / Notes) ? . We are using siebel 8.1, tried to explore the option "mailto" in contorl but couldn't acheive the desired result.

Pelase share your thoughts as how to configure the same
