Rolling upgrade 11gR2 for hardware change

We are planning to retire old RAC servers with AMD Opteron 22xx processors to be replaced with new blades running Intel Xeon 5675 processors.
We are running DB (Enterprise) 11.2.0.2 on RHEL5 x86-64 and will continue with that O/S and DB version on the new hardware. This RAC DB supports EBS R12.1.3.

Can this kind of move be done as a rolling upgrade were an old node is removed from the cluster and a new node is added to the cluster, must all nodes in a cluster be running the same kind of CPUs?
