ASR manager OS requirements and use of Ops Center - please help

Hi, We're going to have a management environment comprising OEM Cloud Control and Ops Center with Cloud Control managing Exadata and ZFS appliances. Both Cloud Control, Ops Center and the managed hosts will run on Oracle Linux 5.8 UEK. Is this supported to run the ASR Manager?  I note the documentation that only up to 5.5UEK is supported?
Can ASR use SNMPv2 to encrypt all it's traffic between managed hosts to ASR Manager and on to MOS? I believe so for iLOM but have been told that this isn't true for Exadata telemetry..
Can you advise?
