Should WIP Completion Transactions prompt asset creation through EIB

We create assemblies through WIP.

The Assemblies are COR item - create asset flag set to Y.

Should the WIP assembly completion result in a record to be picked by the create assets program for asset creation?

This does not appear to be the case in our set up and as a result we get asset source link not found errors for all subsequent movements on the assembly instance.

any ideas?
