Oracle Solaris 11 zone with Oracle Datbase 11gR2

We recently got a new hardware:  Sparc T4-1 Server.  It has Solaris 11 installed and we are going to put Oracle 11gR2 in this server.  When we are done, I am wondering if it is a good idea to create zones for it?  Example:  pzone-->production  and tzone -->test/development

The reason for this?  The hardware is really powerful and pricey.  I want to fully leverage the hardware without having to buy another one for test/development.  Is this possible?  And is it a good idea or best practice to create a zfs zone for production database?
