Firmware update

Hi All,
Where can we get the step by step method to update the LSI firmware.

Most of the times Customers are en-counting the errors from Dos bootable, LSI is not providing any bootable media to update the firmware and read me looks confusing (  when the OS is up and running) in most of the cases customer are unable to install the OS it self.
