Unable to create temp file in usr/tmp

Dear all,I am using the four ERP application on a single server so whenever if any request id is running on one erp then it will create its temp file in usr/tmp so same request id is running on another application then it will fail to create the temp file so can i create the folder in usr/tmp and give the path in its profile option .
how can i resolve this issue please guide me
