Block field error on Order DFF

We have an issue on a DFF at the header and at the line.  The DFF's have a LOV attached, and when we select the flashlight search from the order form, we get a Block Field error due to the existing order's values in those DFF's.

If you select the order organizer from the menu, we do not get teh error.  but, if you select the organizer from an open order form, and do not clear the form, you get this error on orders with a different value in the DFF.

Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?
