Multiple PM Work Orders

My client is interested in generating several work orders for one PM schedule.  They are not interested in multiple tasks which, of course, is supported.  Wondering if anyone has ever been asked to do this and if so how?  These work orders are for the same asset.  I have thought of creating additional PM schedules but this is somewhat cumbersome.  Looking for anyone who has come up with a creative way if any to do this...preferably without customization
