Deleting a Linux node in a 11.2.0.3 cluster
Hi,
I read from the Oracle® Clusterware Administration and Deployment Guide 11g Release 2 (11.2) , chapter 4 Adding and Deleting Cluster Nodes that :
"Deleting a node from a cluster does not remove a node's configuration information from the cluster. The residual configuration information does not interfere with the operation of the cluster. "
What are the residual configuration information of the deleted node remain in the cluster ? Is it only the network related informations found in the /etc/hosts and tnsnames.ora ?
Are there any other considerations we should take to cleanly delete a node from the cluster ?
Suppose a node is deleted from a first cluster. After that, this node get new IPs, VIP, PRIV-IP and join a second cluster.
