Making Configured Items to go into Stock

You can create configured items and put them into stock. You can create sales orders for a configured item that is in stock. The configured string on the sales order must be identical to the configured string of the item in stock.

In your Configurator Constants, set Check Availability to Y and set In Stock Line Type to any Order Line Type that has Inventory Interface set to Y and has WO set to N (to not create a work order).

To make a configured item to go into inventory, you have to create a Sales Order with a W line type to create the WO, and then cancel the SO and process the WO.
