Mapping between TCA and external legacy data

Hi,

The company in the process of acquiistions ,wish to maintain a centralised repository of TCA customers . These customers could also be found in the legacy system of the acquired company . Is there anyway to link the Oracle TCA customer account with the legacy customer and view them?

The same customer in both the systems will be identified by a manual process and updated.

I went through the "Source system management" of the TCA user guide, but I am unable to proceed with the steps to do the mapping. Can anyone explain me the setup steps and how to achieve this with example?
