OEL 5.7 PVM guest cannot display connection speed

Hello,
Has anyone seen this before I have a Oracle VM server 3.0.3 and Oracle VM Manager 3.0.3.240 (all the latest patch levels) and a oel 5.7 guest and here is what I am seeing:
# ethtool eth0

# ethtool -i eth0
Cannot get driver information: Operation not supported

# cat /etc/modprobe.conf
alias eth0 xennet
alias scsi_hostadapter xenblk

# uname -a
Linux poimapp01 2.6.32-200.13.1.el5uek #1 SMP Wed Jul 27 21:02:33 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

dmesg does show this error:
