How to receive mail notification of replies when I create a thread in a community to which I am not

Hi,
For instance, this very thread.. I am not subscribed to this community "Using My Oracle Support".
Thus, I will likely never receive any notification that your reply exists, unless I am explicitly polling this thread or this community...

I would have assumed that I would be automatically subscribed to threads that I originate, whether I have a subscription to the particular community or not!

Is this an existing feature that I failed to activate or a good candidate for the "Community Suggestions"?
