Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Joining fields in World Writer when two fields are defined as different data types .

Using World Writer, is it possible to join on two fields that are defined as different data types in data dictionary?

Yes, you will need to perform a soft join. Document ‘WS: WW: World Writer Soft Join Process (Doc ID 627337.1)’ provides examples of this process.
