How to bring in assets from PO such as computers where in total they meet cap min but not individual

We received this question thru the SR, and are sharing it here in the community for other users to benefit from.

QUESTION:

1) Can you have a different capitalization minimum for different profiles or any other criteria besides just at the BU level?  I only see on the AM BU defn where to put cap minimums…  I think in 9.1 can have different cap mins per profile ID, but we are on 9.0…

2) They have a scenario with computers where they buy them in bulk and when they do that they want to capitalize them but also want to have them each have their own location as they transfer them around all the time.  The problem is that as an individual computer they do not meet the cap min of $2500, only as the bulk purchase – however many on the PO.  I have looked at all kinds of asset types in AM – considering parent/child, group, etc.
