Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Why should I update to the latest XCP version ?

Well, of course because we made it more stable and fixed the known issues with previous versions !
Already, we had "Sun SPARC[TM] Enterprise M3000, M4000, M5000, M8000, M9000 XSCF Control Package (XCP) Firmware Image Software Version Matrix Information" out, in which you could find the available versions of the Sun SPARC(R) Enterprise M3000, M4000, M5000, M8000, and M9000 XCP Firmware Image software (XCP) and to inform where and how to obtain the appropriate images.
Recently we published "SPARC Enterprise M3000/M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 - XCP Firmware to Defect Cross Reference" , in which document you can cross reference bugs to the XCP versions containing the fix.
