zpool import -f /etc/zfs/zpool.cache SLOW, not working with zpool.cache

Hello,We use EMC snapshots to backup several DBs. From there we present the snapshot to the backup server.
Before using zfs, it was just a matter of mounting the emc pseudo device for the snapshot.
Now we must zpool import and it is very slow.
System is a T5120 Solaris 10u10 with CPU Jan 2012.
All zpools are Version 29 and zfs Version 5.

Thanks for any advice.

this is an explanation from the DBA explaining the process he is using:

zpool import works correctly provided the –c cachefile is omitted.

However there is a very large performance implication and therefore we need to use the –c cachefile option.

Howdy, Stranger!
