Subscribe my private messages ?

Hi,is there a functionality here that allow me to get a notification via a "real" email that i get a new private message ?

I think the subscribe function from the threads or  a whole community may be work in  the the same way to the "Private Messages" part of this site.
So we get a checkbox in our profile if we want this notification or not.
