Has Anybody managed to get stateless web services working with .Net c# Web Services v1.0

in CRM On Demand - Web Services Integration (MOSC) Question
Hi,
I have spent a lot of time trying to work out how to establish a stateless web services session using web services for .net.  I cannot see how to specify the username and password in a request.

Has anybody managed to do this?
