How to increase the On hand Quantity?

 Hi Experts,

I have some questions below please help me out in these problems:

1) For the Raw Materials which are used in the batch must be in the sub inventory for the production?

2) For the Finished good is it also mandatory to have the on hand quantity in the sub inventory before production or after the production the sub inventory will automatically be update able?

3) While defining the Items , in the tap of process manufacturing there are supply sub inventory field and yield sub inventory field. So the when we are making the production the raw materials will automatically comes from the sub inventory of supply which is defined in the item or we have to move it manually through move orders. And for Finished goods the yield sub inventory will be used automatically when items are ready or prepared?
